Built on a strong foundation...
The foundation of the Community Congregational Church can be found in the traditions of the former Congregational, Christian and Evangelical and Reformed churches, which united in 1957 to form the United Church of Christ.

Sensitive to changing needs...
Throughout its 100-year history in the area, the Community Congregation has continued to grow and to change along with the community itself. While following the precepts of the United Church of Christ, the congregation has welcomed new ideas and contemporary methods.

Deep roots in the community...
Community Congregational Church has been part of the Elburn and countryside area for more than 100 years. Through the years, the church has nurtured the various needs of the people in the area by welcoming community groups and special services to share its building:

  • Boy Scouts
  • Girl Scouts
  • Cub Scouts
  • Brownies
  • 4-H Clubs
  • Farmers’ Co-op
  • Musical ensembles
  • Kane County Health Department Immunization Program
  • Elburn Food Pantry donation site
